The Wines
We produce premium AOC Fronton red and rosé
wines.
Our 2005 Château La Crabière AOC Rouge
was chosen as “Wine of the Week” by Jonathan
Ray in the Saturday Telegraph, March 17th 2007:
“Produced by a British couple,
Angus and Sarah Cameron, in Fronton in the Languedoc,
from local Negrette, Syrah and Cabernet Franc, this
quirky (and none too alcoholic) red is full of violets,
liquorice and spicy bitter cherry. Ideal with rich stews.”
The 2005 Château La Crabière AOC Rosé
was selected as one of the Top 100 Wines of the World
by a panel of Masters of Wine at the London International
Wines and Spirits Fair 2007.
Negrette transmits the distinctive flavours of the
terroir and forms the backbone of our wines. Tasting
notes of this interesting variety include cassis, raspberry,
liquorice and violet. Syrah, Cabernet Franc, Gamay,
Merille and Jurançon add complexity, fruit and aromatics
to the blend.
