About Us
The Owners
Sarah and Angus Cameron took over the estate in 2004.
Prior to this, Sarah studied viticulture and vinification
and worked in UK wine production.
History
Château La Crabière was established as a vineyard in
1953 and has produced award-winning wines ever since.
Through investment and some modernisation we aim to
continue this fine winemaking tradition.
Our Logo
Crabière is an Occitan word meaning “goatherd”. It
is derived from the Latin cápra, or goat, which became
craba in southwest France. One who looked after goats
was therefore a crabier or crabière. Historically, the
land upon which the vines are planted was known as La
Crabié, which evolved into La Crabière.
